At Evora Studio, we believe that design should enrich the human experience. 'Ophelia,' a residential design project, exemplifies this philosophy. Our mission was to transform a house into a home - a sanctuary of warmth, serenity, and functionality.
Goals
Warmth and Tranquility
The primary goal was to infuse a sense of warmth and tranquility into the living space. The existing environment felt disconnected and impersonal, lacking the comfort and coziness a home should provide.
Improved Functionality
Beyond aesthetics, our objective was to enhance the functionality of the space. We sought to improve the flow of the layout, making daily living more effortless and efficient.

Practicality was paramount. We aimed to introduce smart storage solutions that seamlessly integrated with the design, offering both form and function.
Process
Our journey with 'Ophelia' began with a thorough understanding of our client's vision. Their desire for a tranquil and inviting home served as our guiding star. We started by selecting a palette of warm, neutral tones that would set the tone for the entire design. These hues formed the canvas upon which our transformation would unfold. The layout received a comprehensive reimagining. Walls were repositioned, and spaces reconfigured to enhance flow.
An open-plan living area now connected seamlessly to the kitchen, creating a sense of space and unity. To infuse a calming ambiance, we integrated natural materials, such as wood and stone, into the design. Soft, tactile fabrics were chosen to evoke comfort and create a sense of coziness. Thoughtful placement of lighting fixtures added to the serenity, creating an atmosphere that embraced and soothed.
Outcomes
The 'Ophelia' project was a resounding success. The space that was once cold and uninspiring now radiates warmth and tranquility. The neutral tones serve as a backdrop to the residents' lives, offering a canvas on which their personal stories can unfold.
The improved layout has created a more functional space that enhances daily living. Storage solutions, intelligently integrated into the design, provide a sense of order without compromising on aesthetics.
